Here is a photo showing some of my small to medium sunprinted wall hangings displayed. There are more hanging on the wall near the corner, along with my "Permanent Wave" piece showing in the lower right. My camera caught other pieces on the wall reflecting in the mosaic framed mirror on the stand near the display.

Here is a shot of another wall displaying my "Antique Iris and Tulips" wall quilt alongwith a couple more of my smaller wall hangings. There are other paintings, prints and photos in this group. There are some fabulous wood lamps on the table next to the wall.

Next is a photo showing pottery, more mosaic works, beautiful wood bowls and vessels, and even a handbag, and more.

Here is a display of some of fused glass jewelry- pendants and earrings by Carol Ayers. I took a workshop from her and got to play with glass too, and had a blast! I find the warm glass work similar to my quilting, but the "pretty" layer) is on the inside, under clear or pale colors of glass. There are so many possibilities, and "some day" I plan to be able to get a kiln and do my own playing with glass. I definitely have a lot to learn!

Here is a fantastic bench made from an exotic type of wood. The artist used the natural shape of the log this was cut from, and  it has two very different legs. One is the wide, dark wood one, and the other is a large turned leg that has been painted in various patterns and colors.

The show is open to the public on Tuesdays from 11AM to 4PM, Thursdays from 11 AM to 6 PM, and Saturdays from 11AM to 4 PM. The website also has information for anyone who may want to visit by appointment.

As the building continues to be restored, there will be more and more activities there. There are workshops available to take in various art media, and if you are interested in learning how to do something that does not have a workshop scheduled, just give us an idea of what you would like to see available to learn, more will be added as time goes on. I also hope to be able to do some teaching there in the future.

If you are in the Elmira area on one of our open days, be sure to stop in and say hi to whoever is working that day!!  You might even find me!

Today is also the Opening for the public for Cezanne IV Art Show and Sale in Elmira, NY- Put on by the Community Arts of Elmira. It will be open 3 or more days a week until Christmas. There are many wonderful items available from many talented artists. There are beautiful glass items- both blown and fused; some of the most interesting pieces made from unusual types of wood- from turned bowls to a fantastic coffee table; carved stones, paintings in watercolor, oil, and more; papercuts; ceramics; mosaics; and fiber art-- mine as well as the work of other artists. The above pair of little quilts are on display there. I have many more pieces hanging  on the walls, along with a selection of my pins, bookmarks, note cards and more. The building the exhibit is in is fantastic! An old mansion that the arts group is working to refurbish to have gallery space as well as spaces for workshops, an art library, and more.

The above quilt is also on display at Cezanne IV.

Sherbet Fern is available on the 8x10" Suprint Series 1 Page, and Beside the Door is an example of a quilt mounted on a fabric covered artist canvas- one of the ways to display little quilts. "Beside the Door" is available for purchase at my Etsy Art Shop.

Well, with the rainy, warm day out there, I am off to the studio to play with my "rocks and mud".
